Refurbished Equipment Terms & Warranty

In accepting the refurbished equipment you are agreeing to the following Terms & Warranty.

Terms

  1. The equipment will not be sold for profit by you or the organization you are associated with.
  2. Post-secondary students are eligible to receive one computer per fiscal year for the duration of their post-secondary studies.
  3. Either Windows 10 or Edubuntu operating system is installed on all computers.
  4. You are responsible for delivery and pick-up of equipment returned under warranty.
  5. When the equipment reaches its end-of-life, you will recycle it by either returning it to Computers for Schools or another approved Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA) Collector (https://recyclemyelectronics.ca/mb).

Warranty

  1. The warranty period is one (1) year from receipt of the equipment.
  2. We will repair or replace computers, at no cost, during the warranty period.
  3. Computers that require replacement will be replaced with similar equipment that meets the functionality and capacity of the original equipment.
  4. Printers that are returned will not be repaired. We will replace it with a comparable model when available.
  5. Monitors that are returned will be replaced with one of a comparable size.
  6. Consumable items such as batteries and toner are not covered by this warranty.
  7. All repairs are undertaken on a first come, first serve basis.
  8. Computers for Schools is no liable for any client's data.

 

Refunds

Computers for Schools will not provide a refund for purchased equipment. Please ensure the equipment you are requesting will meet your needs prior to picking your equipment up. Technical staff are available should you have further questions. Extraordinary circumstances may be approved on an individual basis; a $25.00 per unit restocking fee will apply.

Recycling

Computers for Schools is an approved Collector for the EPRA. We accept a wide variety of electronics for reuse or recycling. Please refer to the EPRA website for a list of acceptable equipment for recycling (https://recyclemyelectronics.ca/mb).
