Why Donate?

When you donate your computer equipment for refurbishment to C4SMB, you will have the following impact:

  • You keep your surplus equipment out of the landfill and turn it into a valuable resource for schools, non-profit organizations, libraries and others;
  • You help provide Manitoban's with greater access to information technology (IT) to develop their skills;
  • You help youth receive practical, hands-on IT training and valuable work experience in our workshop.

Protecting your information from unauthorized access, theft, or unintended use is very important to us. Our policy requires donors to remove all confidential information from any electronic equipment they are donating for reuse or recycling. Once we accept your donation, we will also sanitize all electronic data storage devices. All electronic data storage devices that fail the sanitization procedure, and data storage devices that cannot be reused, will be physically altered and then destroyed to prevent data recovery. We will also remove all donor identifying information on equipment before being recycled or reused.
